The 2016 Japanese animated film A Silent Voice is based on Yoshitoki Ōima's manga series. Kyoto Animation developed it, Naoko Yamada directed it, Reiko Yoshida wrote the screenplay, Futoshi Nishiya designed the characters, and Kensuke Ushio composed the music.
