Is The Equalizer Cancelled?
No, The Equalizer is not getting canceled. CBS has renewed "The Equalizer" for Season 5. The only CBS show still waiting for renewal news is "NCIS: Hawai’i." Recently, CBS renewed many shows, including "Elsbeth" and the "FBI" series. However, they canceled "So Help Me Todd" and "CSI: Vegas," and shows like "Bob Hearts Abishola," "Blue Bloods," and "Young Sheldon" are ending. The show currently has over 10 million viewers per episode when including all platforms and delayed viewing.
Who is Leaving The Equalizer 2024?
In the last episode of Season 4 of The Equalizer, Tory Kittles decided to leave and join a special team that fights against people who harm children, even though Robyn was finally ready to tell him that his leaving makes her very sad. At the end of The Equalizer Season 4, Marcus Dante (played by Tony Kittles) left town for a new job. Fans might be curious if he'll come back. Fortunately, Kittles has talked about Season 5, suggesting that Dante will return despite moving away in the show. Kittles confirmed that there's more to Robyn and Dante's story. In Season 5, there are two main ways they could reunite.
About The Equalizer
The Equalizer is a crime drama TV show that started on CBS on February 7, 2021. It's a new version of an older show with the same name. The people who made it are Richard Lindheim, Michael Sloan, and Queen Latifah. Queen Latifah also plays the main character.
John Davis, John Fox, Debra Martin Chase, Andrew Marlowe, and Terri Miller are also important people who help make the show. Unfortunately, Lindheim passed away from heart failure on January 18, 2021, while working on the series. The first episode of the series is dedicated to remembering him.
In March 2021, they decided to make more episodes for a second season, which started on October 10, 2021. Then, in May 2022, they decided to make even more, renewing it for a third and fourth season. The third season started on October 2, 2022, and the fourth began on February 18, 2024. And just recently, in April 2024, they announced there will be a fifth season.
The Equalizer Plot
The show is about Robyn McCall, a mysterious woman in New York City who is also a single mom to her teenage daughter, Delilah. Robyn has a hidden past, and she uses her many abilities to help people who are in trouble and have nowhere else to go.
