Amazon announced that the third season of its popular adaptation of Jenny Han's well-loved young adult book series will be set to release in 2025. Amazon also shared that the third season, which was officially announced last August, will now have 11 episodes instead of the originally planned 10. This is the longest season yet for the show, as the first two seasons had seven and eight episodes, respectively.

Season three of "Summer" was given the go-ahead before the Writers Guild of America and SAG-AFTRA strikes last year. Production on the new season didn't start until late last year after the strikes were settled. This is why the show's return was delayed. They're currently filming. The first season aired in the summer of 2022, and the second in the summer of 2023. Han announced during the upfronts that she'll be making her directorial debut in season three.

The Summer I Turned Pretty is a romantic drama TV series on Amazon Prime Video created by Jenny Han, the author of the original book trilogy. It's about a teenage girl named Lola Tung (Belly) caught in a love triangle with two brothers, Conrad and Jeremiah, played by Christopher Briney and Gavin Casalegno, respectively.

Production for the series started in 2021. The first season, with seven episodes, premiered on June 17, 2022. Before the first season even aired, it got renewed for a second one, which premiered on July 14, 2023, and has eight episodes. In August 2023, they announced a third season, set to come out in 2025.

The Summer I Turned Pretty Plot Line

The story is about Isabel, also known as Belly, who is almost sixteen. She and her family meet up with Susannah Fisher and her two sons, Jeremiah and Conrad. Every summer, Belly and her family go to her mom's best friend's house in Cousins Beach. When she was younger, she often felt left out because she was the youngest and the only girl among four children. But now, Conrad and Jeremiah notice how she's grown and changed in the past year. Belly feels like this summer will be memorable because they seem interested in her.

The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2 Ending

In the last episode of The Summer I Turned Pretty season 2, Conrad catches Belly and Jeremiah kissing. It leads to an uncomfortable car ride where Conrad expresses his anger. But when a storm hits, they're forced to spend the night together in a motel, adding more tension to their already strained situation.

In a twist, there's only one room in the hotel. The boys choose to sleep on the floor so Belly can have the bed. During the night, Conrad and Jeremiah talk and agree not to let Belly come between them. Conrad decides to act like he's moved on from Belly so Jeremiah and Belly can be together happily.

The season closes with Belly believing Conrad doesn't care about her anymore, so she chooses to date Jeremiah. The episode ends with Jeremiah taking Belly to Volleyball camp, both of them unaware that Conrad is heartbroken and still loves Belly.

In other events, Steven and Taylor start dating, while Skye and Cameron share a kiss. Conrad and Jeremiah's dad agrees to buy the Cousin's Beach house from Julia, and Skye and Julia bond with Conrad and Jeremiah. Additionally, Laurel confides in Belly about her grief, leading to them repairing their relationship as mother and daughter.
