Is There Garbage Pickup on Juneteenth?
On Juneteenth, there won't be any trash pickup. If someone lives in a "Color Collection" zone in the city, their trash pickup day will move ahead by one day. For instance, if someone lives in the gray color zone, their trash pickup day will change from Mondays to Tuesdays.
If someone doesn't live in a color zone, they probably have a two-day window when their trash is usually collected. During a normal week, trash is collected on the first day in the two-day window. However, during holiday weeks, it's collected on the second day in the window if collection falls on or after the holiday

The hotline numbers are (614) 645-NAVY (6289) for Navy customers, (614) 645-PINK (7465) for Pink customers, (614) 645-RUBY (7829) for Ruby customers, (614) 645-GOLD (4653) for Gold customers, and (614) 645-GRAY (4729) for Gray customers. This way, the city makes sure that residents can easily know when their trash will be picked up, so waste management is better for everyone.
Garbage Pickup Day
The days when garbage gets picked up can be different depending on where someone lives. Usually, it's on specific days of the week. It's really important to know the exact day when the garbage truck will come, so that they can collect the garbage, recyclables, and yard waste properly and on time.
Most of the trucks that collect garbage have special arms that work automatically to pick up and empty the bins. This helps the process go smoothly and stops people from getting hurt.
