Wesley Snipes was born in Orlando, Florida, on July 31, 1962. His mother, Marian, worked as a teacher’s assistant, and his father, Wesley Rudolph, was an aircraft engineer. When Snipes was young, his family moved to the Bronx, New York. He attended the High School of Performing Arts but moved back to Florida before graduating.
Snipes later graduated from Jones High School in Orlando. After high school, he returned to New York and went to the State University of New York at Purchase to study fine arts. He started acting and training in martial arts as a teenager, which helped him in his future career as an actor.
