Josh Klinghoffer Career

Josh Klinghoffer dropped out of school at 15 to pursue music and joined The Bicycle Thief in 1997, his first recording experience. He met John Frusciante during this time, leading to a close friendship and collaboration. They worked together on multiple projects, including Frusciante's solo album "Shadows Collide with People." Klinghoffer contributed to several of Frusciante's albums and played in the band Ataxia. He also opened for Red Hot Chili Peppers with The Bicycle Thief in 1999.

He has been with the band Golden Shoulders since 2002, playing various instruments on their albums. He toured and recorded with Gnarls Barkley from 2006 to 2008. In 2008, he founded his own band, Dot Hacker, and released several albums. Klinghoffer joined the Red Hot Chili Peppers in 2007, becoming their lead guitarist in 2009 and recording two albums with them before leaving in 2019. He has also worked on many projects as a solo artist and with other bands.

He began releasing music as Pluralone in 2019, starting with singles and albums featuring his solo work.
