Kevin Owens Career
Kevin Owens started his wrestling career in 2000 when he was just 16 years old. Before joining WWE in late 2014, he wrestled under his real name in Ring of Honor (ROH), where he won the ROH World Championship and ROH World Tag Team Championship. He also wrestled on the independent circuit for 14 years, making a name for himself in Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG) with three PWG World Championship wins and three PWG World Tag Team Championship wins.
Owens also competed in International Wrestling Syndicate (IWS), where he won the IWS World Heavyweight Championship three times, as well as in All American Wrestling (AAW) and Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW), where he won the AAW Heavyweight Championship and the CZW Iron Man Championship, respectively.
He signed with WWE in August 2014 and started in their developmental branch, NXT, before joining the main roster in May 2015. In WWE, he has won nine championships: the NXT Championship once, the Universal Championship once, the Intercontinental Championship twice, the United States Championship three times, and the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship once with Sami Zayn. This tag team win made Owens a Grand Slam Champion. He has also headlined WrestleMania twice—first at WrestleMania 38 against "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and again at WrestleMania 39 with Sami Zayn in a match against The Usos.
