Many fans are curious about why Kota Factory is in black and white. Lead actor Jitendra Kumar explained that director Raghav Subbu wanted to film the series this way. Subbu convinced the team that this style would keep the focus on the story rather than the colors.

Interestingly, the creators originally filmed Kota Factory in color and later changed it to black and white during editing. This aesthetic choice was made to show the dull and often depressing aspects of student life in Kota. As the show portrays the lives of students who move to Kota to study with little entertainment, the black-and-white theme fits perfectly.
