Lost in Battle Quest Guide in Flintlock The Siege of Dawn
Lost in Battle is a sapper quest in Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn that players can take on to gain additional experience and rewards. In this quest, Nor Vanek is tasked with locating and confronting a group of Coalition deserters who are hiding in an abandoned mine in the region of Three Peaks. These deserters have turned their backs on the Coalition, and Nor must set out into the depths of the mine to find out why they have deserted and what they are up to.
To start the Lost in Battle quest, players need to speak with an NPC at Nor's camp, who will provide details about the deserters and the mine's location. Once inside the mine, players will need to navigate through its dark and dangerous passages, facing various enemies and obstacles.
The mine is filled with elite enemies, so it's essential to be well-prepared with upgraded weapons and abilities. As Nor progresses through the mine, she will uncover clues about the deserters' motivations and the challenges they face. The quest reaches a finale in a confrontation with the deserters, where players must decide their fate. Successfully completing the quest rewards players with reputation and valuable items that can be used to improve Nor's capabilities in her journey against the gods.
How to Complete Lost in Battle in Flintlock The Siege of Dawn?
The Lost in Battle quest in Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn starts at a camp. From the camp, head west to a cave located in a destroyed town filled with spiders and Dead. To get to the mine, take the northern path. You'll need to cross a large gap in the railroad by jumping between platforms on the left side of the mountain.
Inside the cave, follow the railroad tracks and take the second left. This path leads to a large room with a hole in the middle. Use a double-jump at the last second to drop down without taking damage. From there, go southwest through a tunnel to find a room with a spider and an armored enemy. Continue along the left path.
In the next room, you'll face three enemies. After defeating them, you'll find the first Breaching Barrel on the right side. Use it to clear the cave-in. Before moving on, restore your health and spend any Reputation points. The next room is larger and filled with explosive barrels.
Here, you'll find one of the people who mugged Baz, who will give you his Blunderbuss. This weapon is powerful against groups, but not precise. Use a Breaching Barrel from the back right corner to clear another cave-in, releasing a horde of Dead. Most enemies are easy to defeat with the explosive barrels, but a two-headed enemy will require some careful parrying.
Follow the path through the cave until you reach the final room. You can avoid fighting the enemies here by jumping on a platform on the right side of the cave to find the exit. Use the rift vortex to return to the main road and head back to Baz. Completing the quest rewards you with Baz's Blunderbuss and an additional 500 Reputation points.
Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn Gameplay
Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn is an action role-playing game where players control Nor Vanek, a warrior fighting to save humanity from the old gods. In the game, players experience combat from a third-person perspective, using a combination of melee weapons and flintlock firearms.
Ammunition is limited, so players must manage their resources carefully. To defeat enemies, players need to fill an armor bar by attacking or parrying. Once the bar is full, they can unleash a powerful finishing move that can quickly defeat regular enemies or significantly weaken boss characters. The game features a central hub called Nor’s caravan, where players can craft and upgrade items.
Throughout the game, players earn "reputation" points, which are used to buy new weapons and abilities. Reputation is lost if the player dies, but it can be reclaimed at the spot of their previous death. Players also earn experience points from battles and quests, which are used to unlock permanent upgrades for Nor. These mechanics create a dynamic gameplay experience that requires both strategic planning and skillful execution.
