Miriam Margolyes Career

Miriam Margolyes began her career as a voice artist, recording a risqué audio in the 1970s and voicing characters in shows like Monkey and The Water Margin. Her first major film role was in Stand Up, Virgin Soldiers (1977). In the 1980s, she appeared in Blackadder and won awards for her roles in Little Dorrit and The Age of Innocence.
