The answer is SYNAPSE.
A synapse is a crucial component of a neural network, acting as the junction where neurons (nerve cells) communicate with each other. In the human brain and nervous system, neurons transmit signals through a complex network, and synapses are the points at which these signals are passed from one neuron to another.
Each synapse consists of a presynaptic ending that contains neurotransmitters, a synaptic cleft (the gap between the neurons), and a postsynaptic ending that contains receptor sites. When an electrical signal, or action potential, reaches the end of a neuron, it triggers the release of neurotransmitters from the presynaptic ending into the synaptic cleft.
