His passion and talent led him to join the LA Junior Kings in Los Angeles in 2010 to further his development in youth hockey.

During the 2011–12 season, Demko gained valuable experience by playing with the Omaha Lancers in the USHL, one of the premier junior hockey leagues in the United States.
