Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree
If you want to play the Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree expansion, you'll need the Elden Ring base game first. The Shadow of the Erdtree Edition bundles the base game and expansion together for a good deal.
You can use one download code for both PlayStation4 and PlayStation5, or Xbox One and Xbox Series XS. For physical copies, the retail versions are only available for PlayStation5 and Xbox Series X/S.
There are also digital editions available for preorder, offering two premium versions with original artbooks and soundtracks.The Elden Ring Shadow of The Erdtree Premium Bundle includes the expansion, along with its art book and soundtrack.
You still need the Elden Ring base game to play this. The Deluxe Edition includes both the base game and expansion, with art books and soundtracks for both.
Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree Trailer
FromSoftware has released a new story trailer for Elden Ring's upcoming downloadable content, The Shadow of the Erdtree.
The trailer hints at the expansive adventure for players in this expansion to the 2022 game, focusing on the Land of Shadow, where protagonist Miquella ventures after leaving the realms featured in Elden Ring.
The trailer offers glimpses into the game's mysterious lore, with Miquella being an ambiguous figure whose intentions towards the Tarnished player are unclear.
The trailer also introduces Messmer the Impaler, a significant character amidst the chaos of the burning city, whose relationship with Miquella and the player remains shrouded in mystery.
While the story trailer provides hints about the narrative, it does not provide additional information about gameplay or new areas to be explored in the DLC.
Fans will have to wait for further details, as the February gameplay trailer remains the sole source of insight into the Land of Shadow's new enemies, bosses, weapons, skills, and spells.

Elden Ring is an action role-playing game by FromSoftware, released in 2022. The game lets players go on a quest to repair the Elden Ring and become the new Elden Lord.
