Ways to Play
To play Starfield on your Xbox, you can get it as a physical copy from stores like Best Buy, or buy a digital copy from the Microsoft Store. If you have Xbox Game Pass, you can download it for free. Make sure you have at least 125 GB of space on your console. You have a few options on a Windows PC: buy it from Steam, the Microsoft Store, or use Xbox Game Pass.
You'll also need 125 GB of free space on your solid-state drive. You should be good to go if your PC is newer and has a good graphics card like AMD Radeon RX 5700 or Nvidia GeForce 1070 Ti. If you don't have a good PC, you can stream Starfield using Xbox Cloud Gaming. Just subscribe to XBOX.

Consoles and Platforms
Starfield is a game you can play on Xbox Series X and on PCs using Steam or the Microsoft Store. It won't be on PlayStation consoles like PS4 or PS5 anytime soon, maybe never. If you want to play it on Steam Deck, you can, but it might not work great because of its size. The game isn't officially verified for Steam Deck yet, but that could change later.
If you have Xbox Game Pass for Xbox or PC, you can play Starfield without buying it separately. Microsoft bought Bethesda Game Studios in 2021, so their games, like Starfield, are on Game Pass.
