In the Season 2 finale, “The Viscount Who Loved Me,” Penelope was stunned. During the episode, her curious best friend, Eloise, found out that Penelope is actually Lady Whistledown.
Penelope's lie hurt Eloise, but she got even angrier when she realized Penelope had spread personal information about her and her family, damaging their reputation. During their painful argument, Eloise accused Penelope of being selfish and manipulative.
