While celebrating his birthday, he's captured by the Time Variance Authority (TVA), who explain that his timeline is falling apart because Wolverine (Logan) is dead.
Wade tries to save his universe by finding a version of Logan from another universe, but the TVA tells him it won't work. He and Logan are then sent to the Void, a place where all things are consumed by a creature called Alioth. There, they meet Cassandra Nova, who tries to kill them, but they escape and join a resistance group. The group fights Cassandra, and Wade and Logan manage to destroy a device called the "Time Ripper," stopping Cassandra and saving their universe. In the end, Wade and Logan are recognized as heroes, and Logan encourages Wade to make up with Vanessa.
