When will TikTok be Back in the App Store?
The United States has banned TikTok, shocking many users, especially those who relied on the platform for income. But, after the current president Trump pledged to restore it.
So, TikTok said that it would restore service to US users. Access to the app was restored to many users as of Sunday afternoon. However, the app is not available on both the Google Play Store and the App Store.
If users search for the app on the Play Store, they see a message stating, "Downloads for this app are paused due to current US legal requirements." On the App Store, the message reads, "TikTok and other ByteDance apps are not available in your country or region."
Former President Donald Trump stated that he was considering a 90-day extension on the TikTok ban to allow time to negotiate a deal for the app's sale to a non-Chinese owner. In his announcement, Trump proposed a 50-50 joint venture between TikTok's parent company, the China-based ByteDance, and a new American owner.
