"Catfish: The TV Show" is a famous American reality TV series on MTV about the truths and lies of online dating. It started on November 12, 2012, and is based on the 2010 film "Catfish."

Nev Schulman and Max Joseph hosted the first 7 seasons. Max left on August 22, 2018, to become a director. After he left, the show had several guest co-hosts. Eventually, Kamie Crawford was chosen as the co-host with Nev Schulman in the 8th season.

Catfish Season 9 Release Date

"Catfish: The TV Show" started on November 12, 2012, based on the 2010 film "Catfish." Nev Schulman and Max Joseph hosted the first 7 seasons. Max left on August 22, 2018, to focus on directing.

In January 2024, MTV renewed the show for its 9th season, which began on April 30, 2024. Max Joseph will return to host an episode this season.

The show was hosted by Nev Schulman and Max Joseph for the first seven seasons. Max left in August 2018, halfway through the seventh season. For the rest of that season, which aired in 2019, various guest hosts filled in, including singer Elle King, model/actress Selita Ebanks, basketball player Nick Young, actress Kimiko Glenn, model Slick Woods, actress Tallulah Willis, rapper Machine Gun Kelly, and presenter Kamie Crawford. When the eighth season started in January 2020, Kamie Crawford became the permanent co-host.
