The UEFA Euro Cup 2024 is a major soccer event taking place in Europe. This is the 17th time they are having this championship for European national teams. Germany will be holding the tournament from June 14 to July 14, 2024. Teams from 24 countries are participating, and Georgia is in the finals for the first time.
Germany has organized this tournament two times in the past, in 1988 and also had some games in 2020. This is the first time they have hosted it since becoming one country again, and Leipzig is one of the cities hosting games. The tournament is also the first major soccer event in Germany since the 2006 FIFA World Cup.
The COVID-19 pandemic caused the tournament to be postponed from 2020 to 2021. Italy, who beat England in the final match, are the current champions after winning the last tournament in 2020. Now, everyone is eagerly waiting to see which country will win the UEFA Euro Cup 2024 and be the new champions.
Who is Hosting Euro 2024?
Germany will host Euro 2024. All the tournament matches, from the first game on June 14th in Munich to the last game on July 14th in Berlin, will be held in their hosting locations. Germany is hosting the UEFA European Championship for the second time. The first time was in 1988 when it was called West Germany.
The 2021 tournament happened in 11 different countries because of COVID-19, but in Euro 2024, only Germany will host the event.
