Who Plays Sauron in Season 2 of The Rings of Power?

Charlie Vickers plays Sauron in The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power season 2. He is an Australian actor famous for his role in this series. He was in a Netflix show called "Medici" and starred in a movie called "Palm Beach" with actors like Sam Neill and Richard E. Grant. He also acted in a thriller called "Death in Shoreditch" with Carryl Thomas.

In 2022, Charlie Vickers played Sauron in "The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power" series, starting as Halbrand. He prepared for the role by hiking in Tongariro National Park and doing freediving for underwater scenes. In 2023, he starred in a miniseries called "The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart" as Clem Hart. About The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 2

The second season of "The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power" show is from J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle-earth history, using stuff from "The Lord of the Rings" book's extras. It's set a long time before the book, showing how Sauron became powerful and made more Rings of Power. Amazon MGM Studios makes it, with J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay running the show.

Amazon got the rights to make a show based on The Lord of the Rings in 2017 and promised to make multiple seasons. They confirmed a second season in 2019 and started writing during a break caused by COVID-19. Filming for the series moved from New Zealand to the UK for the second season, starting in October 2022 with directors Charlotte Brändström, Sanaa Hamri, and Louise Hooper.

Many actors from the first season came back for the second, along with composer Bear McCreary. They filmed in places like Surrey, Berkshire, and the Canary Islands, finishing in June 2023 during a Writers Guild strike.
