The Challenge: All Stars" is a spinoff of the popular reality competition show "The Challenge." It first aired on Paramount+ on April 1, 2021. The idea for the series started when Mark Long suggested a season featuring classic cast members on social media in June 2020. The concept gained attention, and Long teamed up with Bunim/Murray Productions, the company behind "The Challenge." Besides being a cast member, Mark Long also worked as an executive producer with Julie Pizzi, Justin Booth, Dan Caster, Leanne Mucci, and Jack Reifert.
The show officially became "The Challenge: All Stars" on February 24, 2021, and premiered on April 1 of the same year. It became popular quickly, leading to a second season renewal on October 13, 2021, which aired from November 11, 2021, to January 13, 2022. A third season followed from May 11, 2022, to July 6, 2022. The fourth season was filmed in early 2023 in South Africa and premiered on April 10, 2024.
