Will there be a Season 2 of Mr and Mrs Smith?
Yes, Amazon renewed Mr. & Mrs. Smith for a second season in May 2024. However, sources said that the main stars of Season 1, Donald Glover and Maya Erskine, are not expected to come back for Season 2. Its first season was a big hit when it premiered in February.
If Glover and Erskine don't return for Season 2 of Mr. & Mrs. Smith, the show might become an anthology series with a new couple as Jane and John Smith. If they do return, Season 2 could continue from the Season 1 cliffhanger, where they were trying to kill each other in NYC. After taking a truth serum, they teamed up to stop the Other Jane and John Smith. The Other John died, and John was seriously injured. In the final scene, Jane, with only one bullet left, faces the other Jane. The season ends with three gun flashes, leaving it unclear if the Smiths survived or killed the Other Jane.

Two strangers agree to become secret agents for a mysterious organization, posing as a married couple named "John" and "Jane" Smith. They go on missions together, testing their spy skills and their developing relationship. They receive all their instructions through anonymous texts.
Mr. & Mrs. Smith Season 1 Ending
Main John and Jane manage to hide in their panic room to escape the Other John and Jane's attempt to kill them. John is badly wounded, barely conscious, while the Other Jane tries to break in. In this tense moment, John and Jane share their most loving moments, talking about having kids and dreaming of a peaceful life in the mountains. Jane even reveals her real name is Alana, but John says he prefers Jane, the woman he loves. Despite their closeness, their fate remains uncertain.
One of the last scenes shows three flashes of light and muffled gunshots from inside the house. Main Jane wanted to escape to get help for John's wound. We don't see who got shot, but we know there wasn't a shootout since Jane only had one bullet. The gap between the shots might mean Other Jane killed Main Jane and then John, or Main Jane might have shot Other Jane, taken her gun, and finished her off. We'll have to wait for the second season to find out if the couple survived.
