Helldivers 2 Update 01.000.403 Patches Out
Arrowhead, the developer of Helldivers 2, has released a new patch for the PC and PlayStation 5 co-op shooter to fix issues with the Spear weapon. Last week, update 1.000.402 aimed to make the Spear more reliable by fixing its targeting issues. However, this update caused the game to crash when using the Spear. The latest patch, 01.000.403, addresses these crash problems. Hopefully, this resolves the Spear’s ongoing issues.

Helldivers 2
Helldivers 2 is a cooperative third-person shooter by Arrowhead Game Studios. It was released on 8 February 2024 for PlayStation 5 and Windows. It's the sequel to the 2015 game, Helldivers. The game received positive reviews and became PlayStation's fastest-selling title ever, selling over 12 million units in 12 weeks. It also became Sony's most successful Windows game.
Helldivers 2 Gameplay
Helldivers 2 is a third-person shooter, unlike the top-down view of the original Helldivers. It continues to use 'stratagems' like cluster bombs and sentry guns. Friendly fire is always on, so players must be careful. Unlike the first game, Helldivers 2 doesn't have shared-screen co-op but allows up to four players to play together online.
There's no single-player campaign, but you can play with friends on both PlayStation 5 and Windows. The game includes a battle pass that never expires and various in-game currencies like war-bond medals and super credits, which can be earned or bought. As players level up, they unlock new weapons and stratagems. Completing missions helps liberate or defend planets, shown on the Galactic Map. Initially, studio staff observed and influenced gameplay in real time.
Helldivers 2 Plot
Helldivers 2 takes place 100 years after "Super Earth" defeated the Cyborgs, Bugs, and Illuminate. A valuable resource called E-710 is discovered from the Terminids' remains, leading to farms on human-colonized planets. However, these farms are breached, releasing the bugs and causing chaos.
At the same time, a new enemy, the Automatons, appears, threatening humanity. The game starts with a recruitment video for the Helldivers, elite troops sent to reclaim the colonies, and features environmental storytelling with logs, notes, and propaganda.
