High School Return Of A Gangster Episode 8 Ending Explained

In the final episode of "High School Return of a Gangster," many big things happen. Hong Jae Min sacrifices his future to help Song Yi Heon by giving him evidence to show the prosecutors, saving him from false charges. Jae Min and some other students are arrested, and as Jae Min leaves in a police bus, he sees the spirit of Song Yi Heon. Kim Deuk Pal also starts seeing Yi Heon’s spirit, realizing he has little time left. Deuk Pal helps Yi Heon fulfill his wishes and even catches Lee Mi Kyung with the help of friends.

Towards the end, Yi Heon’s spirit and Deuk Pal sit together. Yi Heon, tired of living, asks Deuk Pal to stay in his place while he goes to the realm of death. Thus, Yi Heon’s spirit leaves, and Deuk Pal stays behind.
