How To Get Solder in Abiotic Factor?
While Solder is not a hearty meal, as opposed to typical food cooked in the pot, it still counts as a recipe in the Abiotic Factor. All you need is:
- Silver scrap
- Metal scrap
- Water
Silver scrap can be found at the Train Portal, which is inside Manufacturing West, which is relevant to your Replacement Parts quest.
Metal scrap can be found by breaking down the vent panels.
Water can be found anywhere; inside the water cooler, kitchen sink, bathroom, living area, kitchen, etc.
Pack the water (use F) not drink it (unless, of course, your character has extremely low thirst).Clean water must be cooked with.Find a pot to cook the ingredients in. This is usually located atop stoves, but you can also craft one on the Crafting Bench with 2 Stapler and 3 Metal Scrap. We strongly suggest clearing the pot of contents from previously cooked recipes so that the pot does not disappear when reloading into the area.
Abiotic Factor Wiki
Abiotic factor is a video game that focuses on survival crafting. It was developed by deep field games and published by playstack. The game was launched on May 2, 2024 as an Early Access game. The game is designed to be a 1-6 player survival crafting experience.
The game takes place in a subterranean research facility. The world's greatest minds are trapped between a failed attempt at Paranormal containment, a military campaign, and the chaos of a dozen realms. They must fight against the greatest threats in the universe with a shovel.
Abiotic Factor Solder
A recipe at its core without any way to consume the end result; the soldering in Abiotic factor is not needed for sustenance but to advance the story and create one-of-a-kind materials.
Solder is only one of many materials that can be created in the Abiotic factor. Unlike other materials that can be made through the crafting bench, soldering is unique in that it can only be made inside a pot of boiling water. Just as you can make soup out of whatever you have on hand, you can make Solder out of anything that can be boiled. If you melt down certain metals, you’ll get Solder. If you melt down others, you can easily poison yourself.
How to craft items in the Abiotic Factor?
In the Abiotic Factor, you’ll mostly craft items using a powerful Crafting Bench. You’ll be able to craft a few items by hand (using the Crafting Bench) but most of the items you’ll craft will require a powered crafting Bench.
You can also “un-Craft” an item by scraping it using the Repair Bench, which destroys the item and gives you a small amount of the resources you used to make it. Scrapping is often the only way you’ll get access to resources in the beginning of the game. Some crafting recipes will also require items you make through other skills like farming and cooking. For example, Solder is a cooking recipe because you make it the same way you make Soup.
How to unlock New Crafting Recipes?
In Abiotic Factor, there are four different ways to get new crafting recipes:
- Grab all the resources in the crafting recipe
- Find the crafting recipe by searching for a crafted item or unique item
- Get the crafting recipe from an NPC as a part of your story progression
- Receive the recipe from another player
What is Solder used for in Abiotic Factor
Solder is mainly used to craft paint and the healing briefcase. You don't know what you'll be able to do with it until you find the crafting recipe. You can find the recipe by accident, by interacting with items to come up with new recipes, or you can get the recipe from other players, NPCs, or even the product.
Solder can also be used in specific quests like the Replacement Parts quest. This quest is important to the story because you get the fiber optic cable from the blacksmith by trading a Solder. You can only craft Solder with a stove.
