Muncy last played on May 15 against the San Francisco Giants and has been trying to recover since then. He started doing some light exercises, but his injury is still a big problem. The Dodgers miss him because he was playing well before he got hurt. Muncy has hit nine home runs this season and his team really needs him back, but no one knows when he will be able to play again.

Max Muncy Injury

Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts talked to reporters, including Doug McKain from Dodgers Nation, about Max Muncy's injury. Muncy hurt his oblique a little bit, which is called a Grade 1 strain. Before getting injured, Muncy was playing pretty well, hitting nine home runs and driving in 28 runs for the team. He was not doing as well in his last few games, but if his injury isn't too serious, it might give him a chance to rest and come back stronger.

Oblique injuries can be tough because they don't always heal the same way. Some players recover in a few weeks, but for others, it can take much longer. The Dodgers were hopeful that Muncy would be back soon, but unfortunately, it's taking longer than expected for him to feel better.

When Will Max Muncy Return?

Max Muncy, who is a two-time All-Star, had been doing really well before he got hurt. He hit nine home runs, eight doubles, and got 26 runs batted in (RBIs). But then he hurt himself again during his practice. This isn't the first time this has happened; he had a similar problem last year, but he got better quickly.
