How to Update PS5 System Software?

Via Internet:

To update your PS5 system software using the internet, first go to "Settings" located at the top right of the home screen. From there, select "System" followed by "System Software" and then "System Software Update and Settings." If an update is available, choose "Update System Software" and then "Update Using Internet." Your PS5 will download and install the update automatically and reboot during the process.

Using a USB Drive:

If you prefer to use a USB drive, first create a folder on the drive named "PS5," and within that folder, create a subfolder called "UPDATE." Download the PS5 update file from the PlayStation website and place it in the "UPDATE" folder on your USB drive.

Insert the USB drive into your PS5, go to "Settings" → "System" → "System Software" → "System Software Update and Settings," and select "Update From USB Drive." Finally, choose "Update" to start the installation.
