Smashing Pumpkins Announce New Album

The Smashing Pumpkins have just announced their new album, Aghori Mhori Mei, set to be released in August 2024. This will be their 13th studio album and follows their 2023 rock opera, ATUM. The new album will feature 10 tracks, including titles like “Pentagrams” and “War Dreams of Itself.”

The band’s frontman, Billy Corgan, mentioned that the album explores the idea of revisiting their classic music style from the 1990s to see if it still inspires something new. The band is currently on tour with Green Day for the Saviors Tour, and they will perform in various cities across the U.S. until September 28, 2024.

After that, they will head to South and Latin America for their first tour there in almost a decade. The new album is expected to reflect some of the sound and style of their early hits, as Corgan expressed a desire to capture the essence of their 1990s music while moving forward creatively.
