Marta Karolyi, born on August 29, 1942, is a gymnastics coach from Hungary. She and her husband, Béla Károlyi, are famous for training many successful gymnasts. They started coaching in Romania before moving to the United States in 1981. Together, they have coached nine Olympic champions, fifteen world champions, and many other top gymnasts, including Mary Lou Retton, Kerri Strug, and Nadia Comăneci. Márta was also the national team coordinator for USA Gymnastics.
