ELDEN RING Shadow of the Erdtree is coming out soon, but there's a new patch causing problems for players on Steam Deck and desktop Linux. Patch 1.12 makes it impossible to play online because Easy Anti-Cheat isn't working right on Linux. Also, if you leave the game idle on a Steam Deck for more than 5 minutes, it stops working and you have to restart.
The ELDEN RING team on X (Twitter) posted that they are fixing the Steam Deck bug. But they said nothing on the cheat block issue yet. It's a pain, as the game should be Steam Deck "Okay." Hopefully, they will fix these issues soon.

Gamers on PlayStation can get ready for the new Elden Ring addon, Shadow of the Erdtree, 2 days before it comes out. Some players had trouble getting the DLC, even though they bought it. Elden Ring DLC Requirements
Before you can play Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, you need to defeat two tough enemies Mohg is at Mohgwyn Castle; interact with Miquella's arm in the broken cocoon after defeating Mohg to enter the Land of Shadow. Level 100+ is recommended for the fight.
