The Mole: The Next Betrayal, also known as Mole 2, is the second season of the American reality show The Mole, produced by Stone Stanley Entertainment. This season featured 14 players, one of whom was secretly the Mole. The show debuted in September 2001 on ABC, but low ratings and the impact of the September 11 attacks caused it to be put on hiatus after three weeks. It returned in June 2002 as a summer series on Tuesday nights.

Anderson Cooper hosted the season, often joking with the contestants. In one episode, he pretended there was an extra elimination, and in another, the contestants playfully threw him into a river. Cooper did not know the Mole's identity until he accidentally overheard it on the final day of filming.

During its 2002 run, Mole 2 competed with the first season of American Idol and achieved good ratings, leading to two celebrity editions. In 2007, Bill McDaniel, the Mole, wrote a book about his experience.

Each of these finalists has raised suspicion. For example, Sean is a former undercover cop, and Muna has been caught lying in challenges. The final episodes, releasing on July 12, will reveal the Mole and the season's winner.
