Career
Marshall started his career as a dancer in Broadway shows but got hurt while performing in Cats. After he healed, he began working as a choreographer and then as a director. His first film was a TV version of the musical Annie. He gained fame for directing the movie Chicago, which earned him an Academy Award nomination.
Marshall directed Memoirs of a Geisha, winning three Academy Awards, and then made Nine and Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, which earned over $1 billion. In 2018, he was picked to direct a new Little Mermaid, and he will also direct the Guys and Dolls remake in 2024.

Carole Penny Marshall started her career in a Head and Shoulders shampoo ad. She played a girl with messy hair while Farrah Fawcett was the pretty girl. Later, Marshall got small roles in movies and TV shows. She became famous for her role as Laverne in the show Laverne & Shirley, which ran from 1976 to 1983.
