Josh Jung Injury Update
Josh Jung suffered a fractured wrist after being struck by a pitch that he swung at during the late stages of Monday's game against the Tampa Bay Rays. Bruce Bochy told reporters, including MLB.com's Kennedi Landry, about the bad news after the game. In his first three games, he did really well, with a batting average of .308, an on-base percentage of .400, and a slugging percentage of .769 (226 OPS+). He also hit a home run, a double, and a triple, and got two runs batted in. Before he had to leave the game on Monday night, Jung did even better, getting three hits, including his second home run of the year, and four more runs batted in.
How Long is Josh Jung Out?
There is no information how long Josh Jung will be out because of his fractured right wrist. Jung got injured when he was hit by a pitch from Phil Maton while swinging, and then Josh Smith took over to finish the plate appearance.
