Kuami Eugene belongs to Akim Oda, Ghana. His parents are Alex and Juliana Marfo. He liked music from a young age and sang in church. He also learned to play the drum, keyboard, and guitar. Kuami Eugene joined a music contest called MTN Hitmaker in Ghana in 2016 and came third. After that, he got signed by Lynx Entertainment and started releasing songs. One of his songs, "Angela", got one million views on YouTube in 2017, which was a big deal for his label.
