Very Dark Man Arrested?
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has denied reports that Martins Vincent Otse, also known as Verydarkman, has been arrested. The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) clarified that the controversial social media activist was not arrested but was invited for questioning by the police.
According to SP Josephine Adeh, the spokesperson for the FCT Police Command, Otse has been released after giving his statement regarding a matter involving him.
What Happened to Very Dark Man?
Sources previously reported that the outspoken Verydarkman was re-arrested by the FCT Police Command for alleged defamation, following concerns raised by his lawyer, Deji Adeyanju. However, the FCT Police Command denied Adeyanju's claim.
The Police stated, "Contrary to the reports about Martins Vincent Otse, known as Verydarkman or VDM, being arrested by the police, the FCT police command clarifies that he was not arrested but was invited for questioning regarding allegations of cyber stalking, cyber bullying, and defamation of character.
"He has since been released after voluntarily giving his statement on the allegations."
