Why is Stetson Wright Not Riding?
Stetson Wright is not riding in the 2024 rodeo season because he is still recovering from surgery related to a hamstring injury. Despite initial plans to return at the Reno Rodeo in June, he did not compete and has decided to sit out the rest of the season to fully heal.
Wright emphasized that he made this decision to ensure he returns to the sport when he is completely physically ready, rather than rushing back for short-term gains (Source: Sports Illustrated)

Stetson Wright Son
Rodeo star Stetson Wright and his wife, Kallie, are remembering their 3-year-old son, Levi, who passed away on June 2. Levi was injured when he drove his toy tractor into a creek on their property in Utah.
Levi’s obituary says he loved his family, dinosaurs, tractors, and wearing cowboy clothes. He was learning about heavy equipment with his dad and liked listening to songs like “Big Green Tractor.” He enjoyed pretending to be a dinosaur, always wore his cowboy hat and boots, and recently got a horse he liked to ride with his family.
Stetson and Kallie also have two other children, Steeley and Brae. The obituary says Levi was very caring, loved his big sister Steeley, and was starting to get used to his baby brother Brae. He also liked going to church with his grandmother and often asked to visit her.
