When will Epic Universe Open?
Epic Universe, the new theme park being developed by Universal in Orlando, Florida, is set to open in the summer of 2025. Originally announced in August 2019 with an expected completion date of 2023, the project experienced delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This brought construction to a halt between July 2020 and March 2021.
Despite these setbacks, construction resumed in March 2021, and Universal has now set a revised opening date for the park and also aims to bring this expansive park to life within the next few years, offering visitors a host of new attractions and immersive experiences across its various themed worlds. Mark Woodbury, CEO of Universal Destinations and Experiences, has expressed optimism about meeting this target despite the challenges encountered during the pandemic.
