When Will Tiana's Bayou Adventure Open in Disneyland?
Tiana's Bayou Adventure is a new ride coming to Disneyland Park in 2024. Disney announced it in 2020, saying that it would replace Splash Mountain, a famous ride at Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resorts.
Splash Mountain has been loved by many for years because it's colorful and exciting, and features cute characters like Br'er Rabbit and Br'er Bear. But, Disney decided to close it because of some problems with the movie it was based on, called Song of the South, which has been controversial for a long time.
Guests in Magic Kingdom
Before Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opens officially in Magic Kingdom, Disney is getting ready by welcoming guests and putting up new signs around the ride. These signs are colorful and explain what the ride is all about. As the opening day gets closer, more fun additions are being made inside and outside the ride for guests to enjoy.
They have put up a sign saying 'Main Entrance' above the doors of the waiting area building. Above that, there's another sign saying 'Tiana's Foods.' That's the name of the new place guests will get to check out. Disney is also telling more about the story of the ride on their website.
There is also a banner above where guests will go up one of the first hills. It says, 'Tonight Only! A Celebration of Family and Friends of New Orleans At the Proud Home of Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen Everyone Is Welcome!'
Tiana Bayou Adventure
Tiana's Bayou Adventure is a new water ride coming to both Magic Kingdom and Disneyland. It's inspired by Disney's movie "The Princess and the Frog" from 2009. The ride will start with a calm outdoor float, then move into dark indoor sections, and finally, there will be a big drop indoors. This drop is about 52.5 feet tall. The ride is set to open in summer 2024 at Magic Kingdom and later in 2024 at Disneyland. It's replacing Splash Mountain but with a whole new look and story.
Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World
Magic Kingdom Park is a big theme park in Bay Lake, Florida, which is part of Walt Disney World Resort. It opened up on October 1, 1971, and it's owned and run by The Walt Disney Company. The name of the park has changed a little over the years, starting as Walt Disney World Magic Kingdom, then just The Magic Kingdom. Walt Disney himself got things started and WED Enterprises designed it. It's kind of like Disneyland Park in California, with lots of fairy tales and Disney characters all around.
