In 2015, he started his musical career and put out a number of EPs and mixtapes before joining DJ Drama and Don Cannon's Generation Now record label, an Atlantic Records brand, in 2018.
Harlow's 2020 song "What's Poppin" marked the beginning of his mainstream success. Its rise to fame on TikTok and a remix featuring rappers DaBaby, Tory Lanez, and Lil Wayne helped it reach number two on the US Billboard Hot 100.
