Trey Galloway was coached by his father, Mark Galloway, at Culver Academies. Throughout his rookie season, Trey averaged 10.2 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game. However, his stats exploded by the time he reached senior level. He was scoring about 20.9 points, reaching 5.5 rebounds, and making 5.2 assists per game.
Trey helped his team in winning the Class 3A state championship during his second year of high school. They returned to the finals the next year but they did not win. During breaks from school basketball, Trey played basketball for the Indiana Elite team on the AAU circuit.
