Charlize Theron is not in Furiosa because Director George Miller decided to exclude Charlize Theron from Furiosa. The director Miller wanted Charlize Theron to reprise her role, but he changed his mind. One reason is that he was not happy and satisfied with the technology available to make actors look younger. He saw movies like The Irishman and Gemini Man, where they used this technology, but he was not satisfied with it. So, he decided it would not work for Furiosa.

He said, “I intended that we do it, we do it next. But then we’ve now gone through the third parent company of Warner Bros. – there’s about four different regimes. That settled down by the time we got to do Furiosa, but the best part of a decade had gone by. And then I thought, ‘OK, we could still do it with Charlize.’“Then I saw these other movies like The Irishman, where they made people younger and particularly I saw Gemini Man. I was looking at the technology; I wasn’t looking at performance. I thought, ‘We can’t do it.'” Hence, because of the above said reason Theron wasn't included in the cast for Furiosa.
