As of 2024, Hidilyn Diaz is 33 years old. She was born on February 20, 1991. Hidilyn Francisco Diaz is the fifth of six children of Eduardo and Emelita Diaz. Her father worked as a tricycle driver, farmer, and fisherman. Initially interested in becoming a banker, Diaz tried various sports before starting weightlifting, taught by her cousin.
She attended Zamboanga A.E. After winning a silver medal in the 2016 Olympics, Diaz resumed her studies and later received a business management scholarship from De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, graduating in July 2023.
