Why is Reggie Miller Not in NBA 2k?
Reggie Miller is not in NBA 2K because of a disagreement with the game makers. He wants a large payment to use his likeness, but 2K Sports has not agreed to this. Miller's former team, the Indiana Pacers, and his classic teams are also missing from the game because of this issue. Even though he has appeared in other 2K games, they haven't reached a deal for these classic teams.
Also, as per Forbes, Miller doesn’t need the money and therefore doesn’t have to accept the standard rate for a player of his calibre or follow the established scale between 2K and other retired stars. Miller seems uninterested in the gaming space, so there is no pressure or motivation to negotiate just to be included in the game. The "it would be cool to be in the game" factor isn't present here.
