Why is Michael Easton Leaving?
Michael Easton, known for his role as Dr. Hamilton Finn on General Hospital, shared the news of his exit from the series on Instagram. In a video, Easton revealed his fondness for the "Irish goodbye" tradition, which involves departing from a gathering without informing anyone of your absence. Yet, he believed his audience deserved a more satisfying farewell and wanted to inform them that he had completed his final scenes on the show.
The choice to have Dr. Hamilton Finn, Michael Easton's character, leave General Hospital was a creative decision by the show's creators. They believed it was the right moment for the character to say his goodbyes.
What will Happen to Finn?
Michael didn't reveal when his last episodes will be broadcast or why he's leaving. The update was made just a day after the unexpected news that Lucky Spencer – known as Elizabeth's initial love and the father of her kids – is coming back this summer with the original actor Jonathan Jackson taking over the part. As for Finn's fate, it's uncertain at the moment. There are whispers of a murder plot centered around Ava, which might result in Finn's demise. Alternatively, he might just decide to move away.
