Michael Strahan Early Life
Michael Strahan was born in Houston and grew up as the youngest of six kids. His mom was a basketball coach and his dad was in the Army and a boxer. When he was 9, his family moved to Germany. He didn't start playing high school football until his senior year at Westbury High School in Houston.
Before that, he played at Mannheim American High School in Germany. His dad sent him to live with his uncle in Houston for a summer, and that's where he played football at Westbury. He did so well that he got a scholarship to Texas Southern University. Strahan graduated from there in 1993 and then started playing in the NFL.

Michael Strahan played football for the New York Giants from 1993 to 2007. He started slow due to injuries but became a star in 1997 with 14 sacks. He set a record in 2001 with 22.5 sacks in a single season. Strahan helped the Giants win Super Bowl XLII in 2008, his last season.
